Team vicar for Downley (Part-time 0.5 FTE)
 

This single church Parish is warm, welcoming and growing. Located in the heart of Downley, we curate an outward looking fellowship who live God’s love both in our worship and through service of our neighbours. Our congregation is diverse and active, with a longstanding passion of community outreach, building projects and charity partnerships across the village. 

With a congregation of around 60 and a range of worship styles, we are committed to being an inclusive church where all can encounter Jesus. We have initiated and remain engaged in significant community ministry, including foodbank provision (One Can Trust), therapy support through Growing Hope, and work with Wycombe Homeless Connection. 

We are looking for a Team Vicar who:

•    will help us grow in spiritual depth, prayer and discipleship

•    is lit up by the work of the Holy Spirit in worship, prayer and mission

•    sees the eternal value of developing lay leadership

•    can step into what God is already doing and discern, with us, God’s future hope

•    has strong pastoral instincts and is inclusive and welcoming of all

•    will further encourage outreach among families and those not yet connected to church
